Meet the artist

Greg McIntosh is a self-taught artist with a passion for the details. Inspired by moments, places, and memories, Greg’s technical understanding meets his love in perfect equilibrium. 

With an understanding that there is never a better time than the present and a motto of “discere faciendo”, the Latin phrase meaning “learn by doing”, Greg put a lifelong passion to work later in life. He hasn’t looked back since.

Greg finds peace in his studio, dedicating years to perfecting his passion on canvas. Accompanied by a degree in mechanical engineering, his artistic style has erupted as a perfect blend of his technicality and attention to detail, combined with the inspiration he finds daily. Greg breathes life into the mundane, capturing nature in solitude and encompassing depth with a sense of tranquility while highlighting the beauty of what is typically overlooked. 

Greg is located in Charleston, SC, and spends most days painting in a sunbathed studio in a home he shares with his loving wife and rescue cat. He is happiest amongst his loved ones, including his paint and canvas.
